Tuesday

Tuesdays are a bit lonely for me, for the children have all three enrichment classes. We started this morning with our morning meeting and then switched to math workshop. The children rotated through two sorting centers. While at one, they sorted tiles by color and at the other center, made creations out of blocks using only one color at a time. They also rotated through a "sink or float" center, where they hypothesized if they thought the object would sink or float. A few of the objects were : cork, mini pine cones, a sea shell, paper clips, stones, rubber stamps, and a small ball. Most of them were surprised the cork floated! Soon afterwards we had fruit break. We then had Drama with Julie, Spanish with Elena, and Music with Kim. Throw in another recess, lunch and quiet rest and you've got the rest of our Tuesday!
